    The only reason we came back was for the spicy chicken wings that we had last year - a rich, sticky, spicy tower of goodness... but they weren't on the menu. Instead they have been replaced with a crumbed, fried 'chicken ribs' dish which was flavourless, floury and had very little meat. We have since learnt that some people were complaining the spicy wings were too spicy... how ridiculous. The kitchen obviously listened which is a real travesty. The beer is below average, as is the cider which was flat and bland. Wine not great either (and they'd run out of Chardonnay... but they're attached to a winery - go figure). There were two guys playing music, if you could call it that - the best part was when they had a break and stopped playing. 8 months ago I would have given 5 stars for the wings alone. Now I feel even 1 star is generous. We won't be back until you #bringbackthewings

    We "Trusted the Chef", and as a result had an amazing lunch! All 4 courses (as well as the bread and palette cleansing sorbet) were divine. When booking we advised that one person was a vegetarian, and additionally that we had a couple of disliked foods. None of this appeared to be too much trouble (or they hid their annoyance very well). Service was good, and knowledge of the chefs creations was excellent. For such a lovely venue, we only wish the kids menu could have a couple more selections for the more adventurous eater. Despite being a weekday winters lunch, restaurant was surprisingly busy. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, especially during the peak tourist seasons. Can't wait to visit again!
